McCormick Design is a multi-disciplinary design firm located on the Central Coast of California in San Luis Obispo. We have worked with numerous clients, and completed projects in several areas of design, including identity and branding (logos, symbols, business systems, websites, packaging), print (posters, event announcements, promotional material), book and publication design, environmental graphic design and wayfinding, and photography.

We have collaborated with and consulted for award-winning design firms such as Biesek Design (San Luis Obispo), Kolar Design (Cincinnati, Ohio), and FRCH Design Worldwide.

McCormick Design's major clients include California Polytechnic State University (College of Liberal Arts, 'Safer,' Cal Poly Corporation, Orfalea College of Business and the College of Architecture), the University of Cincinnati (DAAP Gallery, DAAP Fashion Show, Center for the Study of Practice), Azad's Martial Arts, The Net Sells, Moraine Country Club, Sam Splint, The Portland Art Museum, and the city of Portland (Oregon).

Kathryn McCormick, Principal and Creative Director

Kathryn has a Bachelors degree in Design and a Masters degree in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati, and has worked on numerous professional projects that cross disciplines. Before starting McCormick Design, she was a designer for Adidas America in Portland, Oregon from 1996-1999. Projects included the New York Yankees, Kobe Bryant, NBA Street, the World Cup and the Women's World Cup, the Boston Marathon, ATP and Newsweek tennis championships, and athletic programs of several universities, including Notre Dame, University of Tennessee, Nebraska, and Northwestern.

Kathryn is currently an Associate Professor and the Area Coordinator for Graphic Design at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

She is a member of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) and SEGD (Society for Environmental Graphic Design).
